Mean Green Team

The “Mean Green Team” can be seen working together somewhere around the Point, wearing our bright green safety vests. As volunteers, we landscape, plant, weed, trim, fertilize and irrigate many different areas around the neighborhood. A few of these sites are the Nimitz median, Village planter boxes, jacarandas lining Rosecrans, Nimitz turn-off ramp, Dewey school buffer island, Dana School parking area and the golden medallions and sycamores alongside Canon. These are a few of the landscaped areas we maintain.

We also scrub away graffiti, install bus benches and eliminate unwanted news racks. Our group is part of the Pt. Loma Beautification Committee which receives its guidance and works under the auspices and support of the Point Loma Association.

All the funds that support this “grassroots” organization come from community donations, membership dues and our annual dinner meeting. We find great pleasure in gathering together to keep Point Loma beautiful.
