2010 San Diego County Fair
"Taste of Fun"

This year's theme for the San Diego County Fair is "Taste the Fun," a food and cooking theme. The PLA is accepting nominations for the fair's banner program, which uses the banners in our banner district to promote the fair.

Click HERE for the nomination form, which contains contact information. Nominations are due February 15, 2010. Winners of the contest must be available for a photo shoot on March 3, 2010.

More Information

The banners will highlight people in our community who have made a significant accomplishment in the culinary field. The banners will hang from the beginning of May through the end of the fair at the beginning of July.

Restaurateurs, chefs, caterers, cook book authors, culinary students and teachers are just suggestions for the many who can qualify for the honor. There are only 47 banners available and many who deserve recognition, so please take care in making your nomination. Please nominate only Peninsula residents or persons with roots in our community.
